Kidsafe Australia with the support of NRMA Insurance and SGIO have developed the ‘Make Passenger Safety a Priority’ animation to reduce the risk of injury to children whilst travelling in your car.

BURNS

On average 500 children a year present to the Princess Margaret Hospital Emergency Department as a result of a burn or scald, with one third of these children requiring admission into hospital.

PREVENTING FALLS IN CHILDREN

Falls are the leading cause of childhood injury, accounting for almost 40 percent of hospital admissions to Princess Margaret Hospital. It's important to keep in mind that children will sometimes end up with grazes, however serious injuries from falls can be prevented.


PREVENTING POISONING IN CHILDREN

On average just over 500 Western Australian children present each year to the Princess Margaret Hospital Emergency Department for a poisoning injury, of these more than half are due to pharmaceuticals.
