PREVENTING FALLS IN CHILDREN
Falls are the leading cause of childhood injury, accounting for almost 40 percent of hospital admissions to Princess Margaret
Hospital. It's important to keep in mind that children will sometimes end up with grazes, however serious
injuries from falls can be prevented.
PREVENTING POISONING IN CHILDREN
On average just over 500 Western Australian children present each year to the Princess Margaret Hospital Emergency Department
for a poisoning injury, of these more than half are due to pharmaceuticals.
